No side effects! That's big for me. I had diarrhea reactions to other kinds of iron, so was taking a liquid iron from Europe. That didn't boost my ferritin fast enough. I am hoping this will, but won't know until my mid-August lab. I was at 30 last year. My doctor wants me up to 50.
I had low ferritin level results and began taking an iron supplement with good results. I have been a follower of Dr C ever since I developed thyroiditis and was not happy with my traditional endocrinologist’s approach. So when I saw your iodine supplement I ordered it. Unfortunately it gives me chronic constipation. I have stopped taking it and things are back to normal on 29 mg.
Hi Pauline,
Thanks for the feedback. Did you try Easy Iron every other day?
Constipation is a known side effect of iron if you take an effective dose. Lower doses are less apt to cause constipation but are often ineffective at raising iron levels.
Most who get constipation find it works fine that way and can raise iron levels better than a low dose daily.
I explain that further here: https://www.drchristianson.com/blog/easy-iron-an-easier-way-to-raise-iron-levels/
To your health,
Dr. C
